Joining Forces With Our Partners for a Hunger-Crushing Event
What do you get when you combine Hendrick Automotive Group teammates and our partners Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM) and iHeart Media? One heck of a hunger-crushing event!
In October, our teammates at Honda of Concord and Hendrick Toyota of Concord joined forces with iHeart Media and Country musician Russell Dickerson to pack weekend food backpacks for local children attending Title 1 schools. Thanks to SHFBM, these weekend food backpacks – which help feed children who do not have consistent access to food over weekends – were all distributed across 13 Title 1 schools that are sponsored by Hendrick Automotive Group.
Before we share some pictures with you, we want to take a moment to thank Honda of Concord for hosting, iHeart Media and our Hendrick teammates for assembling the weekend food backpacks, and SHFBM for their continued support as well as the distribution for all of the backpacks we packed that afternoon.

Members of our Hendrick Cares, Hendrick Marketing, and Honda of Concord teams come together to celebrate the Concord Automall’s “Pink Out” day in addition to the packing event.
One hour later: 1,000 weekend food backpacks are packed and ready to be distributed.
