Brian, Kiley and Nikki Bennet represent Hendrick Honda of Charleston and Santa as they help deliver newly adopted pets just in time for Christmas

Members of the Hendrick Charleston team may have had just as much fun as Santa this year as they partnered with the Charleston Animal Society once again to help deliver 14 newly adopted pets just in time for Christmas morning.

While many were enjoying the holidays with their loved ones, representatives from Hendrick Charleston dealerships and the Hendrick Charleston Collision Center dressed as Santa’s Elves and headed to the local shelter. Once there they picked up special Christmas gifts in Hendrick style and drove them to their new “forever” home as they watched the eyes of children light up upon announcing that Santa had asked them to help make a special delivery.

“Seeing a family’s reaction to receiving a new cat was just as exciting for us as it was for them,” reflects Sherri Hair from Hendrick’s Charleston Collision Center. “My husband and I love animals and wanted to be a part of sharing happiness with a family willing to adopt a new pet.”

“Creating community partnerships is important, but when you can create one that truly puts your resources to work and touches the hearts of your employees who help make it happen, then you know you have something really special,” said Don Smith, Director of Community Relations for Hendrick Charleston.

“It’s the season for giving and our time was well spent,” said Hair. “For anyone considering helping in the future, it will be a blessing for you, the adopting family and the pet.”

The partnership with Charleston Animal Society has been in place for six years and not only helps place adopted pets in the hands of their new families, but also helps to ensure that the Charleston Animal Society is able to help rehabilitate nearly 9,000 cats and dogs every year.

As you consider your partnerships, would you say they benefit others and put your resources to work for good all while strengthening your team? Consider focusing on those partnerships which accomplish all three.

Hendrick Honda of Charleston and Mike Callahan made sure this sweet dog rode in style to its new fur-ever home after he was adopted. Santa’s elves always make sure every gift arrives in time for Christmas morning, too. Which this pup surely did.
