Atlanta Dealerships Broaden Support And Hope For Local Mothers And Children
Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Duluth, Rick Hendrick Buick GMC Duluth, Rick Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Buford, Mall of Georgia Mazda and Mall of Georgia MINI partnered during the holidays to once again meet the needs of families at Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children’s Shelter.
“Home of Hope affords displaced and homeless mothers and their at-risk children with residential care and stability during transition,” said Home of Hope Executive Director, Maureen Kornowa. “The ongoing support we receive from Hendrick Automotive Group means that we can help mothers get back on their feet and support them in caring for the physical, emotional and educational needs of their children.”
The support came in every form imaginable from an army of volunteers who shopped and delivered Christmas gifts, brought a donation of $35,000 and showed up with love, energy and the gift of hope to families.
“It’s always special to watch our dealerships discover ways to give back to their local community,” said Christine Eubanks, Senior Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. “What touches me most watching the Atlanta team pour into Home of Hope the past year is how contagious their joy for serving has been. A smaller group of dealerships who lead the way in 2018 shared their enthusiasm and attracted more dealership involvement and more teammate participation. By coming together to serve, their sense of teamwork grew and more importantly made a huge impact for others.”
